1. Hadaka Matsuri, festival naked man





At Temple Saidaiji, Okayama there Hakada Matsuri festival or commonly known as the Naked Men Festival. As the name implies, you will see the man in there wearing only a loincloth such as the Japanese-style wrestlers and not wearing a shirt or pants at all!
In the festival, thousands of men will walk together around town. The festival usually takes place every February, when Japan in the winter aiming to have good luck throughout the year.


2. Nakizumo Matsuri, a festival baby crying sumo





Nakizumo sumo means the tears. Make no mistake, not the wrestlers, but a baby crying. In this festival, the two sumo wrestlers each will be holding a baby. Then, they both will lift the baby into the air or strange noises until the baby is crying.
The festival aims to provide the health blessing and cast out demons in infants. Nakizumo Matsuri usually takes place every April at Sensoji Temple, Tokyo. There are hundreds of babies who participate in the festival and the age of the festival has been going on for 400 years.


3. Akita Kanto, harvest festival





Akita Kanto probably most colorful festivals in Japan. Took place in the city of Akita, this festival takes place every August 3-6 every year. There, you can see dozens of people carrying kanto or bamboo poles that can reach 12 meters in length with ornate lanterns.


4. Sanja Matsuri





One of the most colorful festivals in Tokyo is Sanja Matsuri. The festival takes place in during the third full weekend in May in the district of Asakusa, Tokyo. Sanja Matsuri is a celebration for the founder of the Sensoji Temple in Tokyo and is considered the oldest Shinto gods. The festival was usually attended by about 2 million people!
